Goodbye New Zealand, See you soon.

Tomorrow I leave for Europe. I’m not sad to leave New Zealand because I know I will be back in the not too distant future. I have been completely won over by this country. The beauty is non-stop. The people are friendly, welcoming and alive. The food is very healthy. The weather is outstanding. There is no reason that I can find to not come here for an extended period of time. I will need to have a heart to heart with my employer, but you only live once.

Over the past 3 weeks I have driven 4268 Kilometers or 2,652 miles. I was in 0 traffic jams and only had to deal with any traffic for about 10 minutes top. Let that sink in. Thank you QQT733, you were fun to drive.

There is something about the farmland here that makes me feel at home. I can’t explain it, I was never a farmer, but its in my genes from my mothers side. And I’m Irish.

I miss tennis. I have not played in over a month. I’m excited to get to Spain and start playing tennis with Ernesto and then off to Tennis Camp. I have a lot of tournaments when I return.

I am also excited to let you know that I’m going to put together a talk on my travels and what it has done to help me find my joy. I have processed a lot during my trip. From my grief, to my recovery, to what I want to get from life the last 20 years.

Next up is the longest travel experience of my life. In 16 hours I start 30 hours of flying. The magic of Spain awaits me. Some pictures of the last few days in New Zealand.
